In the olden days, carrying a wooden baton was part of a police officers standard uniform. The baton is seen as a non-lethal weapon used to subdue suspects or criminals or to disperse violent mobs. You could still see these weapons in some cities, but law enforcement officers use a modern version, such as the ASP tactical baton nowadays. Asp in this case is short for armament systems and procedures. These batons are usually made of steel, with some models made from aluminum to make the shafts lighter in weight. Made of two shafts, the inner one has a solid tip which maximizes a strikes power when the baton is used or extended. And since most batons are flexible, they could easily be collapsed to be kept in an officers holster or belt. An expandable baton is opened when swung with force, but others are manually extended and locked. When closed, the length ranges from 15 to 25 centimeters. Most commonly used during crowd dispersals, batons are carried by law enforcement agents through a ring attached to their belts. Since the diameter is smaller than its wooden ancestor, these batons make it easier to carry and wear even while seated in a car, for example. Its size and the general look give it a less intimidating image to the community. Its ability to expand provides greater flexibility in situations where a closer hit may be needed, making it useful whether collapsed or extended. The use of these non-lethal weapons most especially in crowd dispersals for multinational and major events is welcomed, compared to gassing and the use of water canons. While most of the time the batons are not actually used, their visibility becomes a hindrance to violent instances. With people now becoming more wary of abuses committed by the police and other law enforcement authorities, the use of non-lethal weapon to subdue a suspect or disperse a non-violent mob is becoming more acceptable than its other counterparts. They may be seen as friendly or non-hostile, but they can be very effective when put to use.

I completed my graduation two years ago. After my graduation I joined in a company as a trainee. There I joined just to get some practical knowledge. But my learning process was not interrupted as I am a good learner. At the time of training I was paid very poorly. The money was too poor to lead a life. My huge family decided to take a trip to Orlando in the summer to enjoy all the great attractions that Orlando has to offer. We decided to stay in the Days Inn Orlando Universal Maingate because it was close to everything! The room was clean and spacious and each room we had was a double room which was nice because it fit our huge family better! They offer a free basic breakfast which is nice because usually in the morning we are running out the door to enjoy the day ahead of us! The staff there were very nice and polite! We loved that it was in walking distance to Universal studios and they offer free shuttles to all the other parks which was a great money savor! I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Orlando with a family very accommodating and just a very friendly and welcoming place to stay!!

I frequently like to try new items for my birds to play with. There seems to be a much bigger selection with e-tailers compared to the established brick and mortar stores.
