If you had asked me two months ago if I knew anything about landscape photography I would have told you I knew nothing at all. But I just got done with a two-month course teaching me everything there is to know about photography and now I feel much more confident. I decided this year was the year I chose a new hobby and that hobby was photography. So in January I enrolled in a two-month course that was being offered at the local university. I really learnt so much in this course and I’m very happy that I enrolled, and now I have many things in practice with photography. I met a few other people that also have the same interests and we are going to keep in touch and help each other learn more about photography. I am also saving up some money so that I can buy myself a new camera.

My Tokina 11-16mm is Sharp Wide Open

My Tokina 11-16mm is absolutely sharp wide open. This lens gives out wonderful color reproduction that any photographer will enjoy. The autofocus is fast as well for an ultra wide angle lens. I found the focal range to be a little lacking you can simply fix this by stepping forward or backwards a few steps. Also, I would like the minimum focusing distance to be shorter on this lens. Bottom line is I absolutely love this ultra wide angle lens. Once you get the hang of the exaggerated perspectives on the edges and can correct the slight distortion in post processing, this lens will probably stay on your camera for a while. I have used it for landscapes, group photos and low light situations for many events and even portraits. This lens does a great job for all of them. Once it is zoomed out to 16mm the distortion is hardly visible even to the naked eye.

My hobby is collecting modern art works. My favorite artist is Leonardo da Vinci. He is a very talented person who is having a great creativity diversely talented person. Leonardo can be considered as a master of art. Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452.He was a prolific draftsman too. His concept about world was logical rather than mysterious. Virgin of the rocks, The adoration of the Magic, Mona Lisa,Last Supper, The Arno Valley etc are some of his famous art work. The most beautiful art work created by him is monalisa and last supper, in other wards these two paintings are regarded as his master piece. Monalisa is considered as the most famous painting in the world. The most important feature of monalisa is her elusive smile. Actually monalisa demonstrates the face of a smiling woman. It’s created in such a way that the corners of the mouth and eyes are subtly shadowed so that the exact nature of smile cannot be determined. I was amazed with that painting because it looks as alive as original. In that painting we can see a pleasing smile which gains a divine touch rather than human. Another amazing work done by Leonardo was Last supper in which he clearly painted Jesus Christ with his twelve apostles. It’s a religious painting which is having a great historical importance. His works are unique and noncomparable. He has introduced several innovative techniques in painting, which gave them all a lively effect. This renaissance man died in his 67th age on may 2, 1519.
