The Defender of the Weak and Oppressed Workers

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

Jason was journalist who almost finished his post graduate studies in Law. He was known to be as the defender of the workers who have suffered injustice in the work place. He has solved a lot of major problems that dealt with the violence being done to the workers inside the office by their own employers. He has also been a key that helped in the case of a worker who wasn't given the opportunity to use the Unemployment Benefits Emergency fund by one of the major companies here in the city. Somehow Jason likes to help the people who contribute to the success of the economy; the people who make and give the effort to work and give their very best to everything that they do. He wants to help the people who are known to be the unsung heroes; the people that stay in the backstage in the show that we call life. This is Jason's biggest mission in life. Hopefully, after he finishes law, he would be able to help them more by being inside the court room defending the helpless party.

I completed my graduation two years ago. After my graduation I joined in a company as a trainee. There I joined just to get some practical knowledge. But the fact is that it is very difficult for a newcomer to suit with the new environment. I had to face a lot of problem as I were the new trainee. But my learning process was not interrupted as I am a good learner. At the time of training I was paid very poorly. The money was too poor to lead a life. This was the main problem for me as a fresh graduate. Then I tried to get the facilities of unemployment benefits table. When I applied for the unemployed benefit the authority did not accept me showing many reasons. It was really very difficult for me to accept. I had to lead a very difficult life at that six months. But after the six months the company appointed me as permanent employee and offered me a handsome amount. I also get offer from other company to join. I really enjoy such a offer. Now I am an established man but I can’t forget the difficult days.

Ensuring Our Childred Are Taken Care Of As We Age

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

For me it was a mixed feeling of joy and worries. Joy because by now I was well placed as far as my career goes. I had gathered enough knowledge and expertise in my field of work, so that I am now well equipped to take up new challenges. Socially I had established my standings. Youngsters will look forward to me for advice. My child is grown up and can take care of himself, he is now my friend. I assist him in his problems. We share small things together like play a computer game together or may be eave watching a movie together. He even bought me my first pair of clic reading glasses which I love. Life is more relaxed.

But I was worried too. Thinking of future. My child is still in his teens. I have to guide him in his everyday activity. Not as a parent, but as a friend. You can not dictate the teens; you have to take them in confidence to make your point clear. Health will become a major issue now. After 40, you know all health problems start. I have to be more cautious about whatever I do, what I eat how much strain I can take. I should sleep well and adequate. I have to limit those late nights.

After forty, retirement does not look too far away; I have to start planning for my old age. In another four to five years I have to plan what I will do after retirement and how do I spend time fruitfully. I do not want to work till the so called “Retirement ageâ€. I should be able to work on something, which so far used to be my hobby, and I love to do it so that I can remain active till my last breath. I’ll still have the plastic reading glasses he gave me and I will always cherish them. I have to make sure my child is well equipped monetarily and emotionally to face the world, when we, the parents, are not in there in this world to guide him.
